Pilates

Increased flexibility, athletic performance, and a better way to move through life.

Whether you are running a marathon, playing golf or playing with the children, you’ll feel that you are moving more efficiently with greater balance, control and alignment.

Created by Joseph Pilates over 80 years ago, the exercise method has become the ultimate in functional training. Pilates works the muscles through controlled movement and can be adapted to challenge any body whilst accommodating potential physical limitations.

Therefore, Pilates is suitable for all, at any age, from the first-time exerciser with chronic back pain, ladies who are antenatal or postnatal, to top athletes looking for that sporting edge. Pilates can help prevent injuries or aches and pains. It is also the perfect compliment to Physiotherapy. Whilst Physiotherapy treatment can address specific joint stiffness or muscle tension causing discomfort, Pilates can re-educate the body to maintain this correction.
